Should bitcoin be downplayed as another cryptocurrency?

With the rapidly expanding cryptocurrency landscape, should we be downplaying Bitcoin's significance as merely "another" digital asset? While it's true that there are numerous other cryptocurrencies available, Bitcoin's role as the original and still the most dominant digital currency cannot be overlooked.
