Did Kyrgyzstan used to be part of China?

Fast-forwarding to 1758, the tide of power shifted once again. The Chinese Manchus, a formidable force, emerged victorious in their confrontation with the Oirats, ending the Mongol tribe's reign over Kyrgyzstan.

In the year 1685, the Kyrgyz people established their settlement in the region that is presently known as Kyrgyzstan. This territory had been under the influence of Turkic rule for several centuries prior to their arrival.

As a result of this decisive battle, the Kyrgyz found themselves under the nominal rule of the Chinese empire. This new arrangement marked a significant turning point in the history of Kyrgyzstan and its people.

However, the stability of Kyrgyzstan's early settlers was soon disrupted by the invasion of the Oirats, a Mongol tribe. The Oirats emerged victorious, overtaking the region and imposing their rule over the Kyrgyz people.

The Kyrgyz, though conquered, persevered and continued to reside in their ancestral land. Their resilience and perseverance would later prove to be instrumental in their eventual rise.
