Who owns MakerDAO?

MakerDAO is owned by its community of users who manage the project through a decentralized autonomous organization (DAO). The DAO controls the stablecoin DAI, which is pegged to the US dollar and generated through collateralized debt positions (CDPs) backed by crypto assets.
