I've always been curious about the difference between steam and mist. They both look similar, but I'm sure there's a distinct difference between the two. Can someone explain the main differences between steam and mist?

Steam, unlike water vapor, does not scatter light in the same way, making it invisible to the naked eye. This unique property sets it apart from other gaseous substances.

Steam is a gaseous substance that is invisible to the human eye. This is in stark contrast to water vapor, which often manifests itself in the form of a mist or fog.
