What's a good excuse to not lend money?
I'm looking for a reasonable excuse to politely decline a friend's request to lend them money. I want to avoid any confrontation or awkwardness, so what's a good excuse that I can use?

Is prom just an excuse to drink?
I understand that prom night is often associated with alcohol consumption, but I have to ask: is prom truly just an excuse to drink? It's a once-in-a-lifetime event for many students, filled with memories and experiences that should be cherished. Isn't the focus of prom supposed to be celebrating achievements, dancing with friends, and enjoying the company of one's peers? While it's true that drinking can sometimes be a part of the experience, should it be the sole reason for attending? Is there not more to prom than just indulging in alcohol?
