Do you have to blanch ramps before freezing?
I'm curious, when it comes to preserving ramps for future use, is it absolutely necessary to blanch them before freezing? I understand that blanching can help maintain color and texture, but is there any risk to simply freezing them raw? And if so, what are the potential drawbacks or consequences of skipping this step?
