I'm wondering if it's still possible to use cash on the TTC. I'm not sure if they've updated their payment system or if cash is still an accepted form of payment.

Cash is another option for paying TTC fares, allowing passengers to pay their way without the need for a prepaid ticket or token. Cash can be inserted directly into fare machines or given to bus drivers.

While these traditional payment methods are still widely used, the TTC is also embracing new technologies and offering additional payment options to its customers.

One such option is the use of digital wallets and mobile payment apps, which allow passengers to pay their fares using their smartphones or other devices. This makes the payment process faster and more convenient for commuters.

Tokens are also still accepted as a form of payment for TTC fares. These small metal coins can be inserted into fare machines to validate payment and grant access to the transit system.
