I'm considering deleting my PI account and I'm wondering what the consequences of this action might be. Will I lose all my data? Is there a way to recover it? What about my privacy, will deleting the account ensure that my information is no longer accessible?

Account deletion entails the transfer of all project ownerships, including project applications, to the organization owner.

This means that once your account is deleted, you will no longer have control over any projects you previously owned.

Within the Engine, any comments and actions you have made will be attributed to a new label called “Deactivated User.”

This label will indicate that the account associated with those comments and actions has been deactivated.

As a deactivated user, you will lose access to all projects unless you are specifically invited to rejoin.
